Assemble, install, alter, and repair pipelines or pipe systems that carry liquids or gases. Install heating and cooling equipment, and mechanical control systems. This position maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, remodels, or constructs plumbing systems, various piping systems, heating systems, various air handling systems, fire pumps, various sewage pumps, and plumbing equipment systems used in wastewater and water treatment plants.
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Must have a valid Journeyman Fitness Card for the State of Alaska
Preferred but not required have knowledge of and be able to work on minor electrical and kitchen equipment
Experience and Background:
Four years verifiable plumbing experience which demonstrates knowledge of water distribution systems, wastewater systems, industrial high volume pumping equipment, gas distribution systems, pressure devices, gas and fired heating systems and furnace appliances, appliances used in commercial kitchens, laundries, and boiler rooms, fire suppression systems, and the state plumbing codes.
Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment preferred, but not required.
Ability to adhere to strict policy and procedures per company HSE program and OSHA requirements.
Certificates, Licenses and Requirements:
Preference will be given to those with a State Boiler Operators 3rd class license.
North Slope Training Card (NSTC) is preferred, but not required.
Must have valid driver’s license and motor vehicle record must meet our insurance criteria.
Must be able to pass a pre-hire drug and breath alcohol test, an occupational fitness test, a criminal background check, and computer-based test.
Must be a team player, have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Understand safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations and have a complete understanding of safe work ethics.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively; both oral and written, must be able to follow instructions and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Rotational schedule of at least 11.5 hours per day and a minimum of 21 days consecutively as required.

Monitor and plumbing systems, repair boilers, controls, ventilation, exhaust fan, and other facility equipment.
Must clean and maintains tools, equipment and work area.
Assist with all camp facility maintenance related duties.
Attends training to maintain and/or improve certifications and skills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
