About the Role:
ASAP is hiring for a Construction Manager to support a landmark commercial construction program based in Queens, NY. This 4-year, $850M project involves both the ground-up construction of a new 4-story commercial building and the renovation of existing Tennis Stadium suites.
We are seeking
field-focused managers
with a
superintendent mindset , who are hands‑on, highly organized, and effective at leading jobsite activities.
What We're Looking For:
Experience managing large-scale, union-based commercial construction projects
Strong background in
commercial structural construction
(ground‑up and/or major renovations)
Previous work on
sports and recreation projects
is preferred but not required
Experience coordinating and managing
union trades
on mid‑to‑high‑rise buildings
Superintendent-style leadership , with strong
field oversight, QA/QC, and safety enforcement
capabilities
Familiarity with working in
occupied facilities
and navigating complex logistics
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and manage field construction activities on a large commercial site
Oversee day‑to‑day progress of union contractors, ensuring adherence to plans, specs, safety, and quality standards
Support and enforce
QA/QC protocols
and ensure strict
OSHA compliance and jobsite safety
Coordinate closely with the GC, vendors, consultants, and client representatives
Conduct jobsite meetings and report on daily progress, safety observations, and issue resolution
Review and recommend approvals for invoices, change orders, and construction schedules
Support project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover documentation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or related field — OR
8+ years of construction supervisory experience
in lieu of a degree
At least
4 years
as a
Construction Manager, Site Superintendent, or similar field role
on commercial projects
30‑hour OSHA Certification is required
Proficiency with
Procore ,
Microsoft Project ,
MS Office Suite , and
Adobe Acrobat
Excellent communication, field coordination, and leadership skills
Experience with
sports, rec, or hospitality projects
is a strong plus
