They are seeking a versatile “Swiss-army knife” Engineer to join their close-knit team. This role offers hands-on involvement across design, drafting, and product support, contributing directly to the development and production of high-performance equipment. Base pay range
$70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr Location: Germantown, WI Key Responsibilities
Create and modify 2D AutoCAD drawings for standard and custom designs, with occasional 3D modeling in Autodesk Inventor for preliminary layouts or proposals. Support manufacturing and production teams by ensuring all drawings and documentation are accurate, complete, and aligned with project requirements. Learn and apply the company’s AutoCAD 14 user layout profile and integrated Bill of Materials (BoM) tools, along with related custom commands and CAD enhancements. Manage assigned Sales Order (SO) jobs, using internal tracking systems and tools (SAS ‘SO Assigned Status’) to monitor progress and priorities daily. Utilize established CAD protocols and department procedures to ensure consistent and accurate drawing practices. Participate in the ongoing improvement of CAD workflows by suggesting process updates during biweekly team meetings. Gain full knowledge of the company’s product lines and produce customer submittal drawings, BoMs, and production job packets following customer approval. Collaborate with peers for review and verification of submittals, BoMs, and final job packets, depending on project size and scope. Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting/Design Technology, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in a design or CAD engineering role within manufacturing, energy, or mechanical systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D); familiarity with Autodesk Inventor (3D) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, BoMs, and related technical documentation. Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a collaborative environment.
