Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as the Senior Data Center Construction Manager to lead the base building and MEP infrastructure portions of large‑scale data center projects.
Job Description The Data Center Infrastructure Construction team at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure delivers state‑of‑the‑art data center facilities at scale and pace. You will manage complex construction projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and sustainability while integrating tenant fit‑out and supporting Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with colocation providers to achieve timely delivery of milestones.
Analyze projects independently to evaluate risk profiles, address gaps in risk identification and mitigation, and inform the business of associated potential impacts.
Coordinate tenant fit‑out integration throughout design, construction, and commissioning stages.
Implement and oversee quality control processes to meet design specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate with design teams so construction activities align with approved design plans and specifications.
Serve as the primary point of contact between Oracle and colocation providers, facilitating clear communication.
Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
Evaluate colocation providers for continuous improvement.
Conduct regular project visits to monitor schedule, coordination, and quality throughout the project life cycle.
Required Skills & Experience
Heavy knowledge of base building data center construction – civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls and plumbing.
Project management experience for startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities in a fast‑paced construction environment.
Strategic planning skills for long‑term construction program requirements.
Deep understanding of cutting‑edge data center technology and sustainability.
Proven experience managing large‑scale construction projects from inception to completion.
Leadership ability to mentor and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
Budget management proficiency to ensure cost‑effective use of resources.
Vendor and contractor management experience.
Regulatory compliance knowledge of relevant standards and policies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
