Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Design for Manufacturability Technician - Avery Creek. This position is onsite Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm and Friday 7:00am-11:00am at our Avery Creek NC Eaton facility. Pay
Base pay range: $53,253.00/yr - $78,104.40/yr What You’ll Do
Serve as key member of high performance work team to help launch continuous improvement activities in work zones to drive Safety, Quality and Productivity metrics Work with AVL LVA Standard Design systems/COE systems to allow leading of process improvement requests resulting from RIEs and CI tickets to be implemented Work with Mechanical/Electrical Tech Team to modify wiring diagrams, Order Mechanical drawings or Manufacturing build information as needed to support Operations at AVC; collaborate with Standard Design team to modify parts or develop new parts that support Operations Understand and work in Change Management process Participate with CI/ELSS functions in RIE/Kaizen events to improve Quality, Productivity, Safety Support Manufacturing Assembly team in design and fabrication or sourcing of tools/fixtures Drive best practice knowledge sharing across Continuous Improvement Teams from AVL, AVC, ELP and Portland for LVA products Assist OPEX team in developing new manufacturing assembly processes and instructions where identified and needed Achieve training and become lead or expert in CIF/ELSS tools and processes for driving improvement Qualifications
Technical Associates Degree or related field from an accredited institution Two (2) years work experience in manufacturing environment Two (2) years experience with AutoCAD/CAD or similar software Must be able to work Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm and Friday 7:00am-11:00am No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Asheville NC work location will be considered. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field from an accredited institution AUTO CAD Inventor experience Trained through Kaizen-based training courses for Lean tools Trained and certified in ELSS and CIF Skills
Excellent knowledge of engineering problem solving and quality techniques, with a sound understanding of production and inventory; strong lean principles and continuous improvement framework knowledge Excellent computer skills Fluent verbal and concise written communication skills for successful performance of the position EEO and Benefits
