We are seeking a
skilled BIM Detailer / Mechanical Drafter
with experience in
HVAC, plumbing, and piping coordination . This role focuses on producing
fabrication-ready Revit MEP models
, shop drawings, and spools for installation and prefabrication. You'll collaborate directly with project managers, field foremen, and prefab shop teams to ensure every model is constructible, accurate, and aligned with field conditions. Candidates with both
mechanical trade experience
and
strong Revit modeling skills
are especially encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities
Develop highly detailed
BIM models
for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems used in
prefabrication and field installation. Produce
accurate shop and spool drawings
directly from Revit models for fabrication and modular assembly. Coordinate across disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical) to ensure
clash-free models
using Navisworks or similar tools. Collaborate daily with
field superintendents, project managers, and fabrication teams
to confirm constructability. Support field layout, integrate as-built feedback, and maintain model accuracy through project closeout. Interpret and update construction documents to ensure all model content meets project and company standards. Maintain
version control and document management
, ensuring all updates are communicated effectively to project stakeholders. Participate in internal coordination meetings, providing insight into
detailing standards, modeling efficiency, and project strategy. Qualifications
Experience working for a
mechanical contractor
(required).
Proficiency in
Autodesk Revit MEP
and
Navisworks
; familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM 360, or related BIM tools preferred.
Strong understanding of
mechanical construction, fabrication, and installation workflows.
Demonstrated ability to
produce spools, shop drawings, and fabrication details
ready for use in the field.
Ability to read and interpret
mechanical drawings, plans, and specifications.
Field experience in
HVAC, plumbing, or piping systems
a strong advantage.
Excellent
problem-solving and coordination
skills in fast-paced environments.
Strong
communication and collaboration
skills with field and VDC teams.
