CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) Search has been retained by Optima Machinery Corporation for their Pharma Division to identify Field Service Technicians to serve their team. With locations and customers all over the world, Optima Machinery Corporation designs and builds packaging and filling machines including complete production lines for pharmaceutical, consumer, nonwovens and life science products.

This role operates in a hybrid model, with a combination of home office and customer site visits. Manufacturing settings are expected, and the technician may occasionally need to enter into a clean‑room environment. The Field Service Technician is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the U.S. Travel to Optima Machinery Corporation locations in Raleigh, NC, Green Bay, WI, and Germany will be required, with 70‑80% travel across North America and Europe.

What You’ll Do

Install, commission, and troubleshoot new OPTIMA pharma equipment from Europe or the U.S. at customer sites

Perform maintenance, repair, inspection, and auditing on mechanical and electrical components

Travel to customer sites as requested by customer or management

Follow blueprints, electrical codes, schematics, and manuals both on‑site and in‑house

Install new format components per customer specification, including wiring and conduit, and connect power to the machine

Assist with in‑house assembly and related activities

Provide excellent customer service and represent OPTIMA at the highest level

Display time‑management skills for project and daily tasks

Use written and oral communication with customers and colleagues

Prepare and submit service reports, expense reports, and timesheets to the respective departments

Demonstrate to customer maintenance and operator staff how to properly use equipment

Follow instructions and complete duties as requested by supervisor

What You’ll Need

Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year technical school in Electro‑Mechanical Technology or 5 years of previous experience maintaining pharmaceutical packaging equipment

SAP experience (ideal)

Approximately 70‑80% travel to Europe, Canada, and within the U.S.

Valid driver’s license and passport required
