Key Responsibilities
Analyze blueprints to determine project scope and requirements.
Utilize Bluebeam software for the layout of electrical systems.
Perform system take‑offs using Accubid Anywhere and LiveCount.
Collect and organize data to support project estimates.
Build and maintain project estimates in Microsoft Excel/Accubid Anywhere.
Communicate with vendors regarding equipment and fixture selection.
Coordinate with trade partners to address project needs (e.g., excavation, low voltage, fire alarm, etc.).
Engage with customers to review upcoming estimates and clarify prior submissions.
Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction managers to support planning, organization, and progress tracking.
Actively participate in estimate review meetings and provide feedback.
Lead estimate reviews to guide and mentor other team members.
Conduct estimated versus actual performance analysis to identify variances.
Prepare bid breakdowns and complete bid matrices.
Draft clear and professional proposals for submission.
Experience
5‑8 years of experience in commercial and industrial mechanical estimating.
Familiarity with Accubid Anywhere estimating software preferred, but not required.
Understanding of NECA labor rates/install efficiencies.
Detail‑oriented with ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
