Engineering Tooling Technician

The Engineering Tooling Technician will fabricate composite parts for customers, support engineering activities for prototype builds, and fabricate and refurbish tools and fixtures. Provides design input for, and fabricates tools and fixtures for composite components. Repairs and refurbishes tools and fixtures. Fabricates composite components from engineering drawings and diagrams. Coordinates with other work cells to complete engineering prototype builds. Assists engineering in creating, proving out, and improving manufacturing processes and documentation in support of production release. Serves as lead technician on complex production tasks. Trains other technicians on production tasks. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Minimum Qualifications: Experience in a manufacturing environment Interest in composite manufacturing Strong attention to detail, and willingness to take direction Minimum High School Diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years experience in a manufacturing environment Familiarity with aerospace requirements CAD and drawing interpretation experience Experience designing and fabricating tooling Machining and CAM experience Position involves sitting, standing and/or walking. Position requires ability to frequently exert up to 10 pounds of force to move objects and occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objects. The work site is an industrial manufacturing operation and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required in some aspects of the role.
