Paleovalley . Responsibilities
Lead, coordinate, and oversee the daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient operation of all plant equipment. Plan and schedule maintenance work; manage a team of technicians; ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime. Prioritize and schedule work orders based on urgency and impact on production; oversee maintenance and repair of critical equipment (e.g., steam cooking kettles, control panels, VFDs, pneumatics, conveyors). Coordinate with the Production team to schedule maintenance around production cycles. Enforce safety protocols, lead safety meetings, and conduct regular audits of the maintenance area. Ensure maintenance work complies with food safety regulations (HACCP, GMPs) and sanitation standards. Serve as the primary technical expert for complex equipment issues and breakdowns; lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Manage parts inventory, including ordering, tracking, and optimizing stock levels; provide technical support during troubleshooting. Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency, and safety; collaborate with Plant Manager and other departments on capital projects and equipment upgrades. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role. At least 2-3 years of supervisory or team lead experience. Proven experience with the equipment listed (steam systems, VFDs, pneumatics, etc.). Comprehensive knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; ability to troubleshoot and program PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley); ability to read schematics, P&ID diagrams, and technical manuals. Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (highly preferred) or significant relevant on-the-job experience. Previous experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry is a significant plus. Work Environment
The employee is primarily in a warehouse environment, with temperatures between 0 and 45 degrees Fahrenheit, in a loud setting. Work near moving mechanical parts and in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, humidity, and exposure to dust. May operate heavy equipment; required to wear issued safety gear. Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and manual dexterity; vision requirements include close, distance, color, and depth perception. Position Type/Hours
Full-time; may require different shifts, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7 production operations. Travel not required. Work Authorization
