Position Type: Full Time/Contract
Job Location: Circleville, OH
Shift: Day Shift (Mon - Fri), 6 AM to 5 PM, with rotational On-Call support

Compensation: $38 to $59/hr, depending on qualifications
Overview/Summary The HVAC Technician (Level II or III) performs maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems at a manufacturing site. Responsible for troubleshooting units and processes according to specifications and established site safety guidelines, while following provided blueprints or engineering specifications to identify the cause of problems, and the installation of new unit components or replacement parts for existing equipment as needed to complete the repair. In addition, recommend purchasing maintenance equipment, tools or supplies as required to improve processes and efficiencies of job duties. Maintain refrigerant usage logs according to federal requirements of individual technicians, and related inventory requirements as needed, along with access to site RCM refrigerant logging system. Troubleshoot, service, and repair of HVAC/R systems across the plant including industrial refrigeration and specialty HVAC equipment.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
6+ years of HVAC/R experience in an industrial setting
EPA Section 608 Certification at the level of Universal License
Electrical safety training required and proficiency with single and 3 phase industrial electrical circuits.
Experience with welding/brazing and leak checking with an electronic leak detector, evacuating with the use of a micron gauge, and charging of the unit.
Experience with multiple specialized equipment sub fields of the HVAC/R trades, such as the following:
Flooded Evaporator chillers
Centrifugal chillers
Air cooled chillers
Screw chillers
Scroll chillers
Cooling towers
CRAC units
RTU / AHU
MAU
ARU
Split systems
VRF
Knowledge on how to correctly clean various types of evaporator coils & condenser coils
Air Flow and Balancing
VAV and constant volume air supply systems
Exhaust fan systems and troubleshooting
Compressor rebuilding
Hydronics, Glycol systems and Pumps
Pneumatics
Electrical systems 1-480VAC single & 3 phase, and Low volt DC circuits.
VFD troubleshooting and repairs
Electrical heat operations and control
Low pressure steam systems operation, troubleshooting, and repair
Gas fired burners, Direct and indirect fire heat exchangers.
Natural gas combustion analysis, calibration, and repair
General HVAC/R system controls
Client and automated HVAC/R control systems
HVAC/R blueprint and diagram competency
Refrigeration cycles and environmental control and influence of systems and operations
