Entry or Associate Level Product Support Engineer (Customer Support) – The Boeing Company (via Dice) – Oklahoma City, OK. The Boeing Global Services (BGS) team is hiring for an Entry or Associate Level Product Support Engineer position in Oklahoma City to support the E-4B Mission Assurance Team, providing sustainment and modification support to the USAF to maintain Boeing 747 aircraft. The role involves evaluating mission system performance and health, and offering recommendations for deficiencies and improvements, with indirect support to E-4B teams for Mission and Avionics Equipment. Responsibilities
Provide engineering support, as requested by the USAF Customer, by maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting E-4B Mission, Avionics, Communication and Navigational Equipment at the Systems Level. Research, analyze, and review OEM and FAA Service Literature and provide fleet-tailored recommendations. Research, develop, and provide solutions to improve system performance and increase operational availability. Provide system knowledge to the lowest possible level to meet customer requirements. Proactively monitor and critique modification designs to mitigate adverse effects on overall mission system performance. Evaluate mission system deficiencies, develop solutions, and provide recommendations. Provide system engineering support to other teams to resolve issues encountered during sustainment and modification efforts. Provide support to the Technical Order Team by reviewing proposed changes for all Technical Orders related to Mission, Avionics, Communication and Navigational Equipment. Provide support to Supplier Management with Technical Evaluation to support procurement and repair activity. Possess understanding of supply chain processes. Provide support to the Periodic Depot Maintenance facility in San Antonio, TX. Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or an equivalent non-US qualification directly related to the work statement Experience in reading and interpreting technical publications and/or maintenance manuals Experience in interpreting Engineering Drawings, specifically commercial derivative aircraft Experience in working with wiring diagrams and/or functional schematics Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
2+ years of experience in reading and interpreting technical publications and/or maintenance manuals 2+ years of experience in interpreting Engineering Drawings, specifically commercial derivative aircraft 2+ years of experience in working with wiring diagrams and/or functional schematics Background and domain knowledge in Aviation, Aerospace and/or Airline Operations Experience aging fleet / obsolescence engineering Experience with service bulletins processes Familiarity with technical evaluations and sole-source justifications Other Information
