Electrical (IACS) Technician - 2nd Shift
Summary: Assist in the safe production of quality products by troubleshooting and repairing PLC-based electrical control systems for CNC turning, drilling, and grinding machines. Monitor, modify, and write PLC programs and plan the layout and wire electrical control panels and installations on industrial machinery.
Starting Wage:
$30.00 Shift differential:
$2.50 per hour for 2nd shift. The actual base pay offered will be based on factors including knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, location, and equity considerations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Understand and support company quality objectives.
Troubleshoot automated production machinery, identify root causes, and repair as necessary.
Diagnose and replace faulty electrical and electronic components (relays, switches, motors, sensing devices, printed circuit boards, PLCs).
Safely connect power to machines and wire between machines; monitor equipment.
Replace damaged sensors.
Plan layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
Test motor insulation.
Maintain interior and exterior lighting systems.
Requirements Education and/or Experience
Associate Degree or equivalent experience; high school diploma or GED.
Working knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics.
Ability to read and design electrical schematic drawings.
Understand AC to DC power supply.
Knowledge of PLC I/O module and function; ability to read and understand Ladder Logic.
Basic knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFD).
Basic knowledge of Servo Control functions.
Knowledge of electronic motors (3-phase, single-phase, AC/DC).
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures; write routine reports and correspondence.
Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units; compute rates, ratios, and percentages; interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret multiple instructions in various forms.
Knowledge of Electronic Device Application Software.
Physical Demands
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, hazards, chemicals, vibration, and loud noises.
PPE such as safety shoes, safety glasses, chemical resistant gloves, and bump caps on the production floor.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; frequently lift up to 10 lbs.
Stand 2–4 hours continuously; use hands and arms for handling and assembly.
May climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; good vision for detailed work.
Minimum 40-hour work week with possible overtime; fast-paced environment.
