Overview Burgess & Niple is seeking a Civil Engineer, Entry Level to join our Tampa or Orlando, FL office. This position provides the opportunity to work as part of a design team and collaborate with some of the top experts in the industry.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with civil professional engineers and design staff on multidisciplinary civil engineering projects

Support the design and planning efforts for FDOT and municipal clients

Work on a wide range of projects, from large-scale roadway projects to water and wastewater systems

Prepare design calculations, reports, and cost estimates

Develop engineering drawings using digital delivery and 3D modeling technologies and technical specifications

Gain hands-on experience in a collaborative team environment that supports professional growth, champions innovation and technology, and responds to evolving client needs

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program

EI/EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months from this application

0-2 years of related civil engineering experience; prior relatable experience with construction or consulting is advantageous

Co-op/internship experience preferred

Software experience with Microsoft Office and desire to learn or working knowledge of MicroStation (ORD) and/or AutoCAD (Civil3D)

Excellent communication skills and detail oriented

Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
