As a Mechanical Engineer in the Chassis team, you will help design and deliver world-leading suspension architectures for our electric vehicle platforms. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches their work with vigor and determination. Responsibilities

Develop and deliver front and/or rear suspension structural components through concept to production Design of castings, sheet metal parts, bushings, ball joints etc. Design with excellence at system and component level, with great attention to every detail Create and optimize mechanical designs for performance, size, weight, durability, and cost Work closely with both internal teams and external suppliers, using creativity and teamwork to integrate multiple systems in the most efficient way possible Work closely with stakeholders and attribute owners across the company (Vehicle Safety, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Manufacturing, etc.) Coordinate virtual engineering and physical validation testing activities for your designs Determine required tolerances using GD&T Manage multiple complex projects in a demanding environment Travel domestically and internationally as required Qualifications

A strong desire to create state-of-the-art engineering products as an integral part of a very capable team A flair for creative design engineering and problem-solving Strong 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA V5/V6 or similar software Hands-on practical experience in prototype assembly Experience in technology, system and supplier selection Design release engineering experience A sound understanding of various analysis tools e.g. ANSYS, OptiStruct, MatLab, ADAMS, SHARK Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as extrusion, casting, stamping etc. Generally, requires 2+ years of related experience Advantageous

Understanding of vehicle crash safety principles Understanding of vehicle dynamics principles Understanding of NVH principles Education

BS/BEng or MS/MEng in a relevant Engineering/Physics/Mathematics discipline, or equivalent experience Salary and Benefits

Salary Range : The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors. Base Pay Range (Annual) : $113,800 - $156,530 USD Additional Compensation and Benefits : Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
