Electromechanical Technician I
in Spencer, MA, working Friday to Sunday from 6AM to 6PM. Flexcon Company, Inc. is a global, family-owned manufacturer specializing in coated and laminated films, adhesives, and more since 1956. Our products serve industries such as packaging, medical devices, automotive, and labeling. We are seeking candidates responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and upgrading electrical and mechanical equipment, components, tools, and machinery. Responsibilities include:
Providing maintenance and mechanical support by troubleshooting equipment, understanding instrumentation, and performing repairs; assembling, installing, dismantling, and repairing machinery, pumps, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, preparing for installation and maintenance, and making proper connections to panels and electronic units. Performing general repairs, tearing down units, replacing defective parts, and reassembling. Replacing parts such as bearings, gears, shafts, and installing wire motors and drives on various machines. Moving machines and equipment using forklifts, hoists, and other tools. Installing conduit, making bends, threading, and reaming as needed. Performing machining operations with lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses. Handling plumbing tasks and general building maintenance. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Participating in preventative maintenance programs, inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment. Reading blueprints, schematics, and drawings to complete tasks. Maintaining safety standards and organized work areas. Qualifications for success:
Proficiency with multi-meters and AC/DC drive experience. Web handling experience is a plus. Ability to understand machine controls and schematics. Knowledge of Allen Bradley equipment and software preferred. Experience connecting to PLCs and drives via laptop for troubleshooting. Willingness to collaborate with operations and maintenance teams. Conducting equipment inspections, attending meetings, completing projects, and some travel may be required. Benefits include:
