Data & Account Maintenance Specialist (Remote)
3–6 Month Contract | $20/hour | M–F, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST
Overview We are seeking detail‑oriented Data & Account Maintenance Specialists to support the onboarding and maintenance of client accounts for a national financial services organization. This project‑based role assists independent financial advisors and their teams with processing documentation, initiating transfers, and maintaining accurate client data in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. A structured two‑week training program will be provided to ensure familiarity with systems, processes, and compliance standards. The ideal candidate should be able to adapt quickly, stay engaged during training, and maintain accuracy and productivity while learning at an accelerated pace.
Key Responsibilities
Process approximately 30–50 account items per day, including new account setups, transfers, and maintenance updates.
Enter, review, and maintain client account data across multiple internal systems.
Collect, validate, and organize documentation for new account onboarding and client updates.
Initiate account transfers, direct rollovers, and maintenance requests (address, name, SSN, etc.).
Perform high‑volume data entry with strong 10‑key proficiency to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Research and resolve non‑compliant paperwork or missing information by coordinating with representative offices.
Maintain organized electronic files and track progress on open items and completed work.
Collaborate with onboarding and operations teams via Microsoft Teams to meet productivity and quality standards.
Support advisors and assistants by providing clear guidance on account management procedures and documentation.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
2+ years of experience in account onboarding, financial operations, banking, or administrative data processing.
Strong data entry accuracy and 10‑key proficiency required.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Comfortable working on camera through Microsoft Teams for collaboration and training.
Laptop provided; must have at least one additional monitor for optimal performance.
