Sr Mobile Diesel Mechanic
Fleet Services by Cox Automotive. Shift: Wednesday through Sunday, 12 PM–9 PM. Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow‑up repairs on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Execute minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment—electrical, brake, cooling, starters, alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines (gas and diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials. Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment using handheld computers, pressure gauges, and test instruments. Road test vehicles to verify proper operation. Manage parts inventory and reconcile equipment on the company‑issued service truck. Maintain and operate the company‑issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections. Document all work in the company’s iOS TRAIT application and complete DOT and RO forms accurately and timely. Work independently, schedule own day, and meet standard repair times. Requirements
High School Diploma/GED and at least 3 years of related experience (or equivalent combination). At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment. Possess a set of hand tools necessary for job duties. ASE L2 preferred (not required). Participate in all‑company required training. Valid driver’s license; candidate must be at least 21 years old. Pass DOT‑regulated background screening, DOT physical, and hold a valid DOT medical card (or meet DOT physical requirements). Certifications
