VESCO , a Busch Vacuum Solutions company, is a leading manufacturer of vacuum furnaces, vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling. VESCO has an immediate direct-hire opportunity open for a Field Service Technician 2 based out of East Windsor, Connecticut. This position requires reporting to our service center and extensive travel within the service region.
The Field Service Technician 2 installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and maintains the company\'s vacuum pumps, vacuum furnaces, hot zones, heat exchangers and systems at end-user customer locations and will assist in providing training to other field service team members.

Responsibilities
Perform field service preventive maintenance work and advanced field service repair, including modifications to equipment at the customer site
Perform equipment health check: check base pressure, pumping speed, and test other vital components to ensure optimal performance
Conduct warranty evaluations and submit all warranty-related service reports and documentation
Perform on-site equipment startup and operator training
Fulfill field service safety requirements including safety training, safety certifications, and maintain safety equipment/tooling as instructed
Relay customer issues, problems, and complaints to Service Manager and/or Technical Support Team; expediting critical issues as deemed necessary
Accurate completion and submission of all necessary documentation and reports for assigned field activities, utilizing Busch-approved programs and software within the timeline set forth by management
Relay pricing information on parts, service support, or new equipment to customers when requested
Develop mutually beneficial business relationships with end-user customers to maintain, grow and promote the company after sale parts, products, and service(s) business
Be able to travel to customer site on short notice (as required)
Required Experience
3-5 years of experience with basic rotational mechanical equipment, pumps, compressors, and blowers, in an Industrial or Technical equipment field service-related position (preferred)
Mechanical aptitude (required)
Electrical knowledge (preferred)
Equipment leak detection (preferred)
Equipment calibration (preferred)
Computer skills: basic knowledge and use of a laptop, Microsoft Office applications (required)
Certifications & Licenses: valid Driver\'s license meeting Busch insurance standards
Personal Qualifications
Detail- and safety-oriented
Outstanding customer service skills, including relationship building and good salesmanship
Ability to handle dynamic working environments and manage difficult situations
Excellent oral and written English communication skills
Ability to work well independently and with a team
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Job Requirements
Ability and willingness to pass a 9-panel drug screen and a 7-year criminal history check (felonies typically disqualifying; misdemeanors considered case-by-case)
Must pass respirator fit test (annual retesting required) and be willing to maintain facial hair to a minimum for respirator fitment
Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE
This is a hybrid position. Must be willing to report to our local service center and to travel extensively within the region to service equipment at customer sites
Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship; Busch does not sponsor
Physical Requirements
Constant reaching outward, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 10 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
Occasional climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs
Ability to hear and see alarms and wear all required PPE (safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, hearing protection)
