Position Overview This is a project‑based Automation Technician role in the Oklahoma City area focused on the fast‑paced, growing oil and gas market in the DJ Basin. The project will run through the end of the year with a potential transition to a permanent placement. Ideal candidates are self‑starters who are reliable, eager to learn, and adaptable across various job functions and responsibilities, including well‑pad installations, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, compressor stations, salt‑water disposals (SWD’s), plants, and programming.

Ideal Candidate Experience

Knowledge of Modbus communication protocols and addressing.

Experience with Totalflow X series flow computers, G4 XRC and XFC boards, including program writing and hardware installation.

Familiarity with Ubiquity radios and cameras; ability to connect radios to G4 boards and set up communication.

Red Lion HMI programming experience.

Experience with FW Murphy Centurion Compressor Control Panels.

Troubleshooting, repairing, and installing Plunger Lifts using Totalflows and Master Chief Control valves.

Maintenance of existing communication systems using Totalflow G4 XRC, G4 XFC, Ubiquity Radios, Ubiquity Cameras, Red Lion HMIs, FW Murphy Centurion, Compressor Control Panels, and Modbus addressing.

Experience & Education Minimum of 2 years as an automation, instrumentation, or process controls technician or field engineer is desired, though a candidate without the exact experience but eager to learn may be considered. A 2‑year associate’s degree in Industrial Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, or Process Controls is preferred.

Training VanZandt Controls and Eagle Automation provide ongoing hands‑on equipment training and personal development plans.

Location & Compensation Oklahoma City, OK

Salary: $52,000 – $93,600 per year
