Process Mechanical Lead Engineer

Jacobs . This position is based in Missouri and involves leading process mechanical design for water and wastewater projects, mentoring the team, and collaborating across disciplines. Responsibilities

Plan, perform preliminary and detailed design of water and wastewater pumping stations and treatment plants across Missouri and the region. Prepare general arrangement drawings for treatment equipment and tanks; design piping and pumping systems; provide oversight of construction. Evaluate and select equipment, piping materials and valves; assist with facility layouts; develop calculations, process flow diagrams, P&IDs and construction documents. Coordinate with other project disciplines; direct the work of CAD designers; produce construction documents. Lead the Process Mechanical discipline on projects; oversee process mechanical teams and provide overall leadership to projects. Mentor and grow the process mechanical practice within the region; collaborate to set standards and best practices. Work across core water technical areas: Drinking Water & Reuse, Municipal Wastewater, Distribution and Conveyance, Water Resources, and Industrial Water. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar accredited program. Minimum of 7 years of experience in process mechanical design of water and wastewater systems. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license with ability to obtain Missouri license within 6 months. Experience with National Building Code, EPA regulations, and 10 States Standards; strong team collaboration and communication skills; experience managing remote domestic and international staff. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ideally, You’ll Also Have

10+ years of experience in industrial, water, or wastewater process mechanical engineering. Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as Pipe-Flo; ability to develop process flow diagrams to define mass balance. Experience in planning, cost development/management, and scheduling for projects. Experience working with construction management to ensure conformity to specifications, codes, and client requirements; startup/troubleshooting experience is a plus. Proficiency in Autodesk design suite is a plus. Base pay range

$105,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr Benefits and work arrangements
