Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking qualified insulators with 3+ years of hands-on insulation experience. The candidate will remove, repair, and install various types of insulation, including fiberglass, calcium silicate, and rubatex on piping systems, ventilation systems, and other components and structures throughout the ship. May also remove/install floor tiling. Responsibilities
Remove, repair, and install insulation on piping systems, ventilation systems, and components using fiberglass, calcium silicate, and rubatex. Remove or install floor tiling as needed. Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on insulation experience. Must be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop, and climb daily. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Must be able to perform overhead work. Must be clean shaven to wear a respirator. Must be able to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions. Must be able to work at extreme heights and in small, tight, confined spaces. Must be able to work any shift to accommodate production needs. High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Additional Information
