As an HVAC Technician at JLL, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and monitoring of HVAC and mechanical systems in assigned facilities. You will support the operation and efficiency of critical heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment—including chillers, boilers, air handling units, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, VAV boxes, and other related systems. Your work helps ensure safe, comfortable, and compliant environments for JLLs clients. What your day-to-day will look like
Perform operations, repairs, and maintenance of all HVAC systems and equipment, including chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air handling units, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, and VAV boxes Conduct predictive, planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance of HVAC systems; perform equipment rounds and service requests as directed Troubleshoot and respond to a wide range of mechanical problems; repair equipment using proper safety equipment and procedures Conduct visual and operational inspections, interpret specifications, blueprints, and job standards to execute assigned duties Document problems encountered and communicate via electronic work order systems, email, chat, and voice communications Operate systems in compliance with government regulations and standard operating procedures Assist with the development and improvement of preventive maintenance programs, schedules, SOPs, and procedures Recommend measures to improve equipment performance and suggest changes to enhance department efficiency Perform general labor services, including cleaning and organizing designated work areas Complete training and demonstrate competency in equipment monitoring and operational checks Comply with policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe workplace Maintain compliance with all relevant codes, laws, and regulations Interact positively with team members, vendors, and internal/external customers while fostering teamwork and a positive environment Work independently as required and follow escalation policies appropriately Actively participate in technical and safety training programs Perform additional duties as directed Required Qualifications
High school diploma required; completion of a trade school or apprentice program preferred Minimum 5+ years of experience in HVAC systems, building engineering, technical aspects of machinery, plumbing, electrical, equipment repair, and maintenance Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints, electrical schematics, equipment specifications, and O&M manuals Experience with building/system controls EPA Universal 608 certification required Valid driver's license required Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form Preferred Qualifications
Mechanical licenses Working knowledge of CMMS systems Knowledge and Skills
Basic PC competency and familiarity with communication applications Strong oral and written communication abilities (concise and timely) Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Wear appropriate PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, arc flash protection, fall protection, etc.) Able to work overtime and participate in on-call program; flexible with shifts and hours Able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work at heights as required Able to crawl, kneel, stoop, and work in small/confined spaces Benefits
