Rate: $32.00 - $52.60 per hour. Pay is dependent on education and experience. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. Uses safe working practices and follows all company safety requirements in preparing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and rebuilding of components. Completes disassembly and assembly of Caterpillar engines and engine components for repairs and/or complete overhaul. Determines most cost-effective repair using Caterpillar reusability guidelines. Inspection of parts for reuse and salvage, ability to develop complete and accurate repair quotes Maintains clean organized work area to meet dealership contamination control requirements Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Additional opportunities to learn general heavy equipment repairs Required Education And Experience High School Diploma or GED Post-secondary education degree or certificate in diesel or automotive preferred Or a combination of education and three to five years in heavy equipment Relevant CAT related courses 3+ years’ experience servicing heavy equipment 1+ years administrative/clerical experience 3+ years customer service experience 3+ years sales experience DOT Health Card Class D Driver’s License MSHA License Physical Demands & Competencies Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, etc. Heavy work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills Safety & Product Knowledge Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook Intermediate Knowledge of DBS Intermediate Knowledge of ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW Ability to work independently with little or no direction Well-rounded knowledge of CAT equipment Work Environment Noise: Loud Indoors and Outdoors Travel Requirements 75% - 100% Other Duties Job Offers are contingent upon all required pre-employment screenings which may include background checks, drug/alcohol testing, fit for duty testing, and any other job-related tests/screenings.
