Base pay range
$30.00/hr - $34.00/hr Job Description: Performs qualitative and quantitative analyses of the chemical and physical properties of diverse organic compounds to investigate their behavior in chemical formulations in support of client's R&D pipeline and products. Applies standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a high-throughput analytical chemistry laboratory environment. Requires limited oversight and supervision to plan and accomplish diverse, fast-paced analytical workflows. Performs routine and non-routine benchtop analytical tasks as requested by diverse customers/stakeholders. Works under general supervision of senior peers and reports to a supervisor/manager. Must be creative, especially under tight deadlines. Develops methods for determining chemical composition and concentrations of analytes present in chemical formulations/products and related sample matrices using HPLC/UPLC/LCMS/GC to support client's R&D pipeline and existing products. Communicates effectively with diverse customers/stakeholders across R&D, manufacturing, and product supply. POSITION SUMMARY: We seek an enthusiastic team member with a strong Analytical Chemistry-related background relevant to analyses of agrochemical formulations and products. This individual will perform routine and non-routine analyses of active ingredients in liquid and solid formulations using HPLC/UPLC/LCMS/GC-based techniques. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and self-starting, able to quickly adapt to rapidly changing analytical/scientific situations and possess strong communication skills and a passion for developing new skillsets. REQUIREMENTS: BS in Analytical Chemistry or closely related field. Hands-on experience and demonstrated proficiency in preparing complex agrochemical sample matrices for analysis with HPLC/UPLC/LCMS/GC. Experience with maintaining and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation. Experience with sample preparation and method development for chemical samples. Experience with various sample cleanup techniques to enrich active ingredients in chemical samples. Experience with robotic sample preparation is desirable. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Demonstrated spirit of and commitment to teamwork. Strong oral and written communication skills. Timely, intelligent communications with customers/stakeholders are crucial. Self-motivated and self-starting. Flexible and able to respond quickly to rapidly shifting analytical priorities. Able to multitask in high-throughput, fast-paced, dynamic analytical laboratory environment. 1-3 years of relevant experience. Seniority level
