Full-time Shift:
Thurs-Sat 7am-7pm Location:
8000 Red Bug Lake Rd, Oviedo, FL 32765 The role you\'ll contribute: Under general supervision performs general sonographic procedures in accordance with department protocols. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all. Adheres to AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting bodies. The value you\'ll bring to the team: Consistently obtains the highest quality scans; follows exam protocols; uses two patient identifiers to verify patient/exam accuracy before administering the exam. Reviews all images on Ultrasound machine or PACS and completes the Ultrasound worksheet in a timely manner. Open to critique of exams by Radiologist and/or department Manager/Educator. Completes exams in a timely manner; evaluates patient prep status; coordinates patient throughput; participates in the system backup call rotation for FT and PT dayshift/weekday employees. Uses computer systems to update exam status, cancel/update orders as needed; ensures charges match procedures; releases images to PACS after QC; notifies Radiologist Facilitator for after-hours cases. Operates and maintains Ultrasound equipment safely; adheres to infection control standards; trained in Hazmat waste handling and disposal; follows PPE guidelines; maintains hand hygiene. Performs a full range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures; able to rotate between multiple campuses; demonstrates age-specific knowledge for safe and effective procedures across patient ages; committed to learning and teaching new technologies. The expertise and experiences you\'ll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: Graduate of Ultrasound Program Basic Life Support (BLS) certification ARDMS, ARRT and/or CCI credentials to include: RDMS - Abdomen (AB) AND RDMS - Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) AND one of the following: RDMS-Breast OR ARRT RT(BS) OR RT(S) with RDMS-Breast or RT(BS) Preferred qualifications: Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s degree in a healthcare-related field RDMS-Vascular (RVT) OR RVS with CCI OR RT(VS) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws.
