Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Perform minor and some advanced repairs on electrical, braking, cooling, engine electronics, fuel, steering, transmissions, clutches, and other truck systems. Diagnose and repair electrical, braking, cooling, air conditioning, engine electronics, and drivetrain components; test and inspect equipment using handheld instruments and test devices. Road test vehicles to verify repairs and diagnose malfunctions; communicate with clients to assess needs and provide information or solutions. Independently manage parts inventory and operate the company-provided service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections. Document work according to company standards, upload photos of work performed, parts used, and findings on Repair Orders using company devices and TRAIT application; complete DOT forms and other required documentation promptly. Obtain parts from approved vendors as necessary; obtain management approvals for repair estimates and purchase orders as needed. Maintain a high level of productivity and work within standard repair times; manage own daily schedule with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT). Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience; or 5 years of related experience. Own a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties; have or obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months. Valid driver's license; ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File; 21 years of age or older due to interstate operations. Must have a Class C license. Ability to pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical; or have a valid DOT medical card with sufficient validity in lieu of a DOT physical. Certifications

ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months. Preferred: ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, and T8/609 certifications as applicable. Skills & Abilities

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound judgments; effective two-way communication with clients and team members. Physical ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and perform moderately heavy labor for long periods. Ability to select tools and equipment appropriately and to assess distances and spatial relationships. Ability to work independently and manage time, with strong attention to safety and compliance. Compensation & Benefits

Hourly base pay: $28.70 - $43.03 per hour; compensation may vary by location and candidate experience. May be eligible for additional compensation (commission/incentives).
