POSITION SUMMARY
To support the Maintenance Department by performing simple, routine work assignments and offer assistance in complex situations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform routine and simple daily preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment. Complete basic diagnosis and repair for simple non-routine equipment modifications and repairs. Proficient in working within a CMMS. Entering work orders and completing work orders assigned to them. Identify service needs for production and facility equipment. Maintain clean and safe work area. Work independently, as well as part of a team, to complete necessary work in order to support production. Assist on assigned projects as needed. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Perform other duties as directed. Follow all GMP procedures. COMPETENCIES
To perform this job successfully, Maintenance Mechanic Must be self-motivated, able to problem solve, detail-oriented, and able to stay on task. Excellent organization and time management skills. Must be a self-starter and able to accomplish a versatile and evolving workload. Excellent in all forms of communication. Innovative, problem solver, flexible, and able to juggle multiple priorities. Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt well to change. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required. Must be able to read maintenance manuals and write instructions in English. Must be able to do basic mathematics. Understand and work with both English and Metric System. Be able to work in a bake shop environment where seasonal and heat emitting equipment would make the temperature in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Be able to carry, erect, and climb various OSHA approved ladders from a 6' A-ladder to a 30' extension ladder. Be able to construct, repair and maintain equipment in various production spiralators and storage freezers, where the temperature may reach -10 to -35 degrees Fahrenheit: being provided with the proper protective clothing. Be able to operate various fixed machine shop machines, such as lathes, surface grinders, shapers, boring mills, and drill presses, as well as portable electrical hand tools (drills, grinders, shears and polishers). Be able to climb over, under, and between various running or idle machinery to make repairs, alterations, or adjustments as required. Be able to follow and respond to normal and emergency instructions in the English language. Any other duties assigned by the Manager. US Hourly Pay Range -$27 - $31 USD EEO Statement:
