Overview
Join to apply for the Journeyman Electrician role at QE Solar. This role provides hands-on technical expertise at multiple PV plant sites on a continual/on-demand basis to meet maintenance requirements and troubleshoot/repair equipment issues, including emergency repairs and O&M support. The work covers PV array, inverter, medium voltage, battery storage (BESS) and other solar services. You will conduct regular maintenance, perform repairs/installations, assist with training technicians, and oversee contractors/sub-contractors for field operations. Base pay range
$30.00/hr - $40.00/hr Responsibilities
Maintain, diagnose, and repair system failures on existing solar sites; identify and correct potential issues that may impact site performance; perform equipment assessments, diagnosis and modifications; develop solutions to site operations issues; diagnose/troubleshoot equipment failures and perform regular preventative maintenance on solar/electrical equipment; qualify equipment and systems for use or replacement, including warranty matters; install, remove, maintain and direct maintenance of solar, BESS and related electrical equipment. Ensure a safe, event-free work environment through strict adherence to company and client protocols, safety procedures and regulations; provide leadership and oversight to achieve safety results (e.g., lock-out/tag-out compliance, contractor oversight, safety meeting attendance, recommending and authoring changes in related policies or procedures and work practices). Prepare and review service tickets and reports for site visits, emergency repairs, equipment modifications and improvement investigations; provide reports, written and oral communication in a timely and complete fashion. Communicate with customers, engineers, technicians, project managers, and client sub-contractors to ensure timely resolution to all required activities and maintenance requirements. Qualifications
Experience
1+ years of electrical experience with an electrical license Licenses and Certifications
Inverter and/or BESS manufacturers’ certifications Thermography certifications (Level 1) IT/networking skills: familiarity with RS485, Modbus, tcp/ip, etc. NABCEP PV Installer Certification OSHA 30 Certification Completion of NFPA 70E courses CPR/First Aid Functional Knowledge
Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard design/construction practices; Clear understanding of OSHA safe workplace practices and procedures; Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams as well as other construction/DAS/design drawings or permitting documentation Company/Industry Knowledge

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly Ability to move safely over uneven terrain Ability to sit or drive for prolonged periods Ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 50 pounds Ability to work in extreme weather Benefits
