Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm | Fridays from 7:00am to 3:00pm
We are looking for an extraordinary dental assistant to help create a more efficient and pleasant environment for our patients. You will play a key role in ensuring excellent customer service while assisting with administrative and basic dental tasks to support the dentist.
Dental assistants should be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions while adhering to all dental office regulations. You should be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and capable of making office procedures run smoothly.
Responsibilities
Welcome patients to the dental office
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials as needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through four-handed dentistry
Undertake lab tasks as instructed
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean, organized, and well-stocked
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Qualifications
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks such as coronal polishing (a plus)
Good computer skills and experience with Dental Practice Management Software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Well-organized, reliable, and professional
Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g., EFDA, Dental Hygiene Assistant)
