Position and Schedule

Under the direction of the Adult Community Crisis Stabilization Nurse Manager and in collaboration with A-CCS Nurses and Prescribing Professionals, the Registered Nurse provides specialized care to adults in a 24-hour behavioral health crisis stabilization setting. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3-11pm.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and documenting medication self-administration during clients’ stay. Monitoring client physical medical issues and coordinating with Mental Health Workers to arrange acute medical care when needed. Facilitating health and wellness groups and activities. Delivering treatment interventions that are strength-based and solution-focused. Encouraging consumer-initiated risk management and Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP). Coordinating with clients’ outpatient and A-CCS care providers. Completing documentation per shift as assigned. Participating in ongoing required training.

Qualifications

Must be reliable, responsible, a team player, and able to grow and learn in the position; detail-oriented, organized, flexible; capable of providing support and quality care to improve physical and mental health of individuals served. Must be an independent problem-solver, able to work with minimal supervision when necessary. One-year experience in an acute mental health and/or dual diagnosis setting (preferred). Familiarity with recovery-oriented treatment for severe mental illness (preferred). Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Diploma/Associate/Bachelor’s). Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with the Massachusetts Board of Registration.
