Base pay range $110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

The Construction Superintendent for commercial projects oversees on-site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. This role coordinates daily activities among subcontractors, manages site logistics, and serves as the primary point of contact for field-related issues.

Job Description Key responsibilities for a commercial Construction Superintendent include:

Provide daily, on-site, project management and be responsible for all aspects of the project.

Negotiate all trade and vendor pricing per project to reach profitable agreements.

Determine needed site resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to the project budget.

Plan all construction operations and schedule all work on-site to ensure deadlines will be met.

Assist in ordering materials and supplies.

Schedule deliveries on-site.

Provide a daily client update including project progress report and photographs; keep a daily log of what took place on-site for each project.

Communicate with the client daily about the project and be prepared to answer their questions.

Award all trade contracts and allocate their responsibilities.

Communicate quality and performance standards to all trade contractors and vendors.

Strive for no‑defect, no schedule delay construction.

Supervise the work of each project on-site and provide guidance as needed.

Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards on the job site.

Create the Project Close Out binder.

Profile: The Successful Applicant for commercial Construction Superintendent (SE Michigan) includes:

7+ years of experience as commercial construction superintendent.

Experience in Commercial, K-12, Higher Ed, Industrial, Light Industrial, Healthcare, Wastewater, or Municipal is preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, FastTrack, as well as other software platforms.

OSHA certified required.

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

Willing to learn & grow within the company.

Track record of previous success within a reputable commercial GC.

We’re seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial and multifamily projects throughout the Detroit area. This role is responsible for managing all on‑site construction activities, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily site operations, subcontractor coordination, and project scheduling.

Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized job site.

Monitor project progress, quality control, and cost management.

Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Owners, and Architects to resolve field issues.

Lead project meetings and ensure timely communication between all stakeholders.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial or multifamily construction.

Proven ability to manage multiple trades and complex project timelines.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

OSHA 30 certification preferred.
