Linac (LIN)
we are looking for a Physicist or Engineer (all genders) Reference: 25.118-6680 to participate in development of the superconducting linear accelerator HELIAC (HElmholtz LInear ACcelerator). Currently at GSI the first cryogenic module of HELIAC is in test operation, further two cryogenic modules are in manufacturing phase. Procurement and Supervision of manufacturing of components and cryostat for further cryogenic modules Cryogenic testing of RF cavities, including the development of automated control for the subatmospheric helium compressor Participation in tests with first cryogenic module Participation in beam times. Your qualifications and skills: University Degree in physics or engineering sciences (M.Sc./M.Eng.) or comparable qualification Ability and interest to work with mechanical systems and accelerator installations Knowledge in one or more of these fields: cryogenic, vacuum technology, programing, industrial PLC. Team-oriented and safe working methods Good language skills in English and German. The following qualifications and skills are desirable: Experience in Python programming Experience with analog and digital electronics. You may expect
