Overview Summit Materials is seeking an experienced, hands-on Plant Maintenance Technician to support our quarry operations team. This role involves stationary equipment maintenance, mechanical repairs, and minor fabrication. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and capable of solving problems under pressure. Daily tasks may include preventative maintenance, changing bearings, replacing conveyor rollers, belts, shives, wire cloth, and urethane screens; installing Flexco splices, clips, and super screws; rebuilding crushers and chutes.

Roles & Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance throughout the quarry and plant.
Problem solve issues promptly and effectively.
Rebuild parts of stationary equipment such as crushers, chutes, and screens.
Communicate with leadership to ensure operational decisions are timely.
Weld, repair, and fabricate on rock crushing equipment.
Follow all safety protocols.
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Perform repetitive and continuous functions as necessary.
Respond quickly to safety hazards and concerns.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
3-5 years of related experience (industry experience not mandatory)
Ability to see close, distant, peripheral, and adjust focus as needed
Respond promptly to hazards and safety concerns
