ELOS Environmental, an Aventia Company (ELOS) is seeking a full-time Lead Construction Inspector. ELOS works with a variety of clients from small to large private sector clients as well as all levels of government.
The Lead Construction Inspector will be responsible for generating and marketing construction inspection services for projects of all sizes throughout the southeastern US. The qualified candidate will have a strong background in the various construction disciplines, with buildings codes, and with industry best practices and techniques.
The successful candidate must have a proven background in overseeing construction projects that were successfully completed on time and within budget constraints. This individual must also have knowledge and experience with using construction management software to further enhance construction management operational efficiency.
Position Description
ELOS is seeking a motivated Lead Construction Inspector with experience inspecting the construction/installation of various facilities and infrastructure types. The Lead Construction Inspector will manage a group of construction inspectors on projects across varying government and private sector clients and industries as well as of varying scope and scale. The Lead Construction Inspector will also interface directly with client decision makers to maintain working relationships and foster continuing work opportunities with existing clients, as well as fostering new relationships with additional clients. Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Oversee and manage construction inspectors Sell construction services Maintain and build relationships with clients Manage budgets Data gathering Report writing Documenting project information Code compliance Conducting inspections Regulatory actions Correspondence with clients, team members, and government agencies Project oversight Review plans and specifications to ensure requirements are met for each construction process Participate in weekly management meetings and provide periodic reporting to clients Budget compliance and review Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent Relevant certifications/licenses for construction inspections Experience/Desired Skills
15 to 20 years of experience as a construction inspector or supervisor and selling construction inspection services Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to travel Proficient in email communication and Microsoft Office Suite Valid Driver's License Must pass background check Must pass drug test when required for Federal work Must pass Military Installation background check to be badged for each facility Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Will report daily to ELOS’s main office Job Details
