We service light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, with additional service centers and 24/7 in-house support. Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment. Perform minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment including electrical, braking, cooling, engines (gas and diesel), transmissions, clutches, and other systems. Diagnose, adjust, and repair various truck systems and components; inspect and test using appropriate instruments; road test vehicles to verify proper operation. Manage parts inventory and equipment on the service truck; conduct safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections of the vehicle. Communicate with clients to assess needs, provide information or assistance, resolve issues, and satisfy expectations. Handle concurrent tasks with effective prioritization; obtain approvals on repair estimates and purchase orders as needed. Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks; document work performed and parts used on Repair Orders using company devices and TRAIT application. Complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion; maintain safety, health, and environmental compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT). Work with independence to manage daily schedule and maintain productivity within standard repair times. Obtain parts from approved vendors as necessary for repairs. Requirements
High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience; or alternative combinations with higher education or 5 years’ related experience. Possess and provide a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties. Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months. Must be able to pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical; a current DOT medical card may be substituted in some cases. Must be at least 21 years old due to interstate operating authority; valid driver’s license; ability to obtain and maintain Driver Qualification File. Safe driving record and ability to drive an assigned service vehicle. Certifications (Required Within 18 Months)
