Automotive Service Technician - Grand Blanc, Michigan, United States Join to apply for the Automotive Service Technician role at LaFontaine Automotive Group. Responsibilities
Performs vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area; diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized. Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts; tag and save parts when required. Advise the service advisor if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed in the promised time. Document work performed; road-test vehicles to ensure repairs address the customer complaint; perform quality checks on completed work. Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins. Ensure customers’ vehicles are kept clean and follow safety, housekeeping, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; Michigan Mechanic Certification preferred. Ability to read and comprehend instructions; excellent communication skills; professional appearance. Demonstrated ability to meet production and quality standards; valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR. Uphold confidentiality and follow work rules; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Benefits
