Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical projects, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure successful project execution. Duties: Key Responsibilities: Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical projects. Calculate labor, material, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive bids. Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit bids for electrical projects, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess project scope and identify potential risks. Site Visits: Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimates. Meet with clients and contractors to discuss project specifications and requirements. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project changes. Provide detailed reports and analysis of cost estimates to management. Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure competitive pricing. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing information. Work closely with project teams to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines. Participate in project meetings to provide insights and updates on estimation progress. Experience: Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Good understanding of systems. Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential. Qualitative and Other Attributes Required: Able to read drawings and Requests for Quotes Capable of Analyzing Information, Capable of Developing Budgets, Capable of Developing Vendor Relationships, Documenting and Reporting Skills, Capacity to motivate, lead and boost morale of the teams. Self-motivator Good client management and goodwill building ability. Proven experience as an electrical estimator, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and construction practices. Proficiency in estimation software and tools. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
