We are looking to add a Civil Engineer to support our Agriculture/Civil Engineering team in North Canton, Ohio. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for a variety of design projects.
Key Responsibilities
Create detailed engineering plans and technical drawings for agricultural and civil projects using AutoCAD, with a focus on site layout, grading, and drainage systems.
Plan and model stormwater retention and detention systems to manage runoff and meet local environmental and engineering standards.
Design grading plans that optimize land use while ensuring soil stability, proper drainage, and regulatory compliance.
Compile engineering documentation for permitting processes, including stormwater management, soils geotechnical investigations, erosion control, and site development approvals.
Ensure that all project designs and documentation meet local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
Produce and manage design reports, budgets, calculations, and permitting correspondence to support project records and client needs.
Handle client and regulatory agency correspondence.
Assist in mentoring and developing junior staff.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural or Civil Engineering required.
Open to all levels of experience. At least 2 years of relevant experience required.
Experience with AutoCAD.
Experience or interest in agriculture.
