Join to apply for the 2026 Civil Engineering & Construction Materials Testing 6-month Co-op (La Crosse) role at Braun Intertec Corporation. This Co-op offers in-depth technical training and industry certifications upon successful completion of examinations and demonstration of ability. As a Co-op, you will perform testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt on onsite projects and work with project managers and other technicians to ensure specifications are followed. Responsibilities
Perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials (soils, concrete, masonry, asphalt). Coordinate with project managers and technicians to ensure specifications are followed. Gain valuable field experience and onsite communication with construction crews. Participate in a multi-day training event including safety, soil classification, ACI certification, radiation safety, materials lab and nuclear density gauge training. Learn procedures and gain exposure to ASTM, AASHTO, ACI, ICC, and DOT standards. Be paired with a professional engineer mentor during the experience. Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver's license and clean driving record for the last 3 years. The ability to commit full-time for 6 months from mid-May to December. The ability to lift 75+ pounds. A “working safe” attitude and mindset. The ability to work overtime and weekends as necessary. Preferred/Ideal Candidate
College student pursuing an engineering or construction management degree or related field. Experience driving a pickup truck or other large vehicle(s). Some work-related experience (landscaping, construction, farming, etc.). Mechanical aptitude with practical problem-solving skills. Some related work experience preferred, but training will be provided for top applicants. Additional Information
