What you’ll be doing as a Behavior Therapist

Apply the principles of one-on-one ABA therapy to help children with Autism reach their full potential by reading treatment plans and program descriptions, implementing treatment as written, collecting data, writing insurance notes, and incorporating supervisor feedback during observation sessions. Support the development of children in early childhood (ages 18 months to 8 years) through engaging and fun therapeutic activities. Collaborate with a team to optimize treatment, safety, and a positive working environment at the center. Engage with children through play, movement, and imitation, including activities such as reading, dancing, singing, or exploring toys; maintain energy and a joyful atmosphere. Communicate effectively with stakeholders (peers, families, and supervisors) to coordinate activities, celebrate successes, and advocate for individual needs. Job Requirements

Lift and move with children in a fast-paced environment; ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend, squat, move on the floor, run as needed, maintain safety, and keep a tidy work area. Maintain an environment conducive to therapy by keeping play spaces tidy, organized, and stimulating. Multitask to balance actions and conversations while assessing prioritization and safety. Support teams by working cohesively across center, neighborhood, and region; travel to nearby centers may be required. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required. Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Complete the RBT certification process within 20 days of employment by completing a 40-hour training, hands-on competency assessment, registering for an exam, and passing the board’s exam.
