Position Summary This role supports the Interventional Radiology department as an Interventional Radiology Technologist. The position involves producing high quality images for diagnostic and therapeutic vascular procedures while maintaining safety and equipment standards.

Department Radiology – Interventional Radiology (IGSL Radiology IOP C)
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Registry eligible or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License, or ability to obtain before start date
New graduate or up to one (1) year of radiology technologist experience
Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
Preferred Qualifications:
Vascular Interventional Radiography Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (to be obtained during employment with departmental assistance)
Responsibilities
Educate and prepare patients for procedures, review medical history, drape and position the patient, and administer contrast media/medications as allowed by scope of practice
Assist the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventional procedures
Analyze image results and resolve image quality issues
Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation
Monitor patient condition continuously and report/respond to changes as appropriate
Implement safety standards and perform equipment quality control procedures
Troubleshoot, resolve, and report equipment malfunctions and keep coworkers informed
Maintain and complete daily work assignments
Assist in maintaining ACR accreditation and participating in JCAHO, FDA, and ODH inspections
Assist in interviewing, selection, training, and orientation of new staff members
Ensure proper staff education requirements and uphold discipline processes when necessary
Maintain knowledge and skills to perform duties and keep equipment and rooms cleaned and stocked per department standards
Adhere to time and attendance policies and discuss variations with manager
Participate in rotating on‑call schedule
Perform other duties as assigned
Work Schedule and Physical Demands Constant Physical Activity:
Repetitive motion, standing, talking, keyboarding, pulling, pushing, reaching, manipulating items with fingers.
Frequent Physical Activity:
Crouching, kneeling, lifting, sitting, stooping.
Salary Commensurate with education and experience.
