Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) invites applications for the Psychiatric Social Worker II position in the Department of Psychology. This full‑time day shift role focuses on providing mental health support to infants and young children (ages 0‑3) and their families within CHLA’s Behavioral Health Institute. Purpose Statement / Position Summary

The position offers comprehensive mental health services related to the needs of infants and young children and their families. Responsibilities include universal screening, brief interventions, and collaboration with multidisciplinary medical teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role also involves developing and implementing clinical intervention models and delivering direct patient care. Core Responsibilities

Perform mental health screening and brief intervention for children ages 0‑3 and their families. Collaborate with multiple medical teams across CHLA to coordinate care. Develop and implement evidence‑based clinical intervention models. Provide direct clinical services to patients and families. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with children ages 0‑3 and their caregivers. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Preferred experience with children who have medical conditions and developmental delays. Preferred experience in fast‑paced, interdisciplinary health‑care settings. Training in Child‑Parent Psychotherapy and bilingual (English/Spanish) skills preferred. Education, Licensure, Certification

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or Counseling with relevant experience. Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates strongly encouraged. BLS certification from the American Heart Association required. Pay Scale Information

$84,302.00 – $144,518.00. Final pay determination depends on education, experience, and qualifications. Equal Employment Opportunity
