Phlebotomist II Float - Waterbury, CT - Monday-Friday hours vary between 6:00AM-6:00PM (Rotational Weekends). Pay Range: $21.31 - $23.55 per hour. Salary offers are based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications obtained, as well as market and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive an annual performance bonus. Assigned a territory to cover phlebotomist duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or as business needs dictate Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare those specimens for lab testing Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening and insurance exams Enter billing information and collect payment when required Coach, mentor, instruct, and be a resource advisor for new employees; serve as on-site contact and provide input to the group lead or supervisor Travel to additional doctor’s offices or Patient Service Center sites when needed Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred Keyboard/data entry experience The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
