Licensed Therapist, Crisis Stabilization (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) – Full-time Join the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board as a Full-time Licensed Therapist at the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center, supporting the Crisis Stabilization Unit and the 23-Hour program. This on-site, collaborative role offers an opportunity to provide direct client care in a supportive environment in Hampton, VA. Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload of managed care clients with mental illness and co-occurring substance-related disorders in an outpatient setting. Conduct initial assessments and apply therapeutic approaches to individual, group, and family therapy. Provide care for clients in the Crisis Stabilization Unit and the 23-hour program, addressing immediate psychiatric crises with a multidisciplinary team. Plan therapeutic programs for clients aged four and up; monitor progress and provide educational sessions and peer recovery services. Supervise and mentor other staff; maintain up-to-date records and prepare diagnostic reports. Qualifications
Valid LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license with a minimum of two years of clinical experience in therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention, and case management functions. Must be eligible or approved for Managed Care Organization (MCO) credentialing. Proficiency in using healthcare software tools for record-keeping and documentation. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and coordinate with other professionals. Compensation and Schedule
Annual Salary: $73,038 Work Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Other Requirements
Selected candidate must successfully pass background checks including criminal history fingerprint, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening, and employment reference checks.
