Join to apply for the Respiratory Therapist (RRT) role at Lifepoint Health. Transport Respiratory Therapist (RRT) position; PRN role with 24-hour shifts on a transport team. Shifts start at 7 am and may cover weekdays and weekends to support full and part-time staff. What You’ll Do
Provides and is responsible for patient assessment, treatment and airway and ventilator management. Performs more complex respiratory care procedures including ventilator management, blood gas analysis, transport equipment maintenance, CPR, tracheostomy care, airway care, suctioning, oxygen therapy, aerosol and humidity therapy, and oximetry. Establishes therapeutic objectives, diagnostic evaluation and care for patients with pulmonary deficiencies during transport, under the direction of the Medical Director. Monitors patient and family satisfaction; responds to questions and concerns from patients, family members, and payors regarding care. Delivers care according to the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) standards of clinical practice. Implements the interventions identified in the plan of care; provides ongoing assessment and monitoring during the transport process and collaborates with the transport team to identify expected outcomes. Applicants should have a current New Mexico license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist and an associate degree in respiratory therapy. Additional requirements include: Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within one year of hire Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) within six months of hire License: NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist Experience: at least three years as a Respiratory Therapist in a healthcare setting covering adult, pediatric, neonatal and emergency settings Connect with a Recruiter
