Work Environment: On-Site Location: Project near Des Moines, Iowa area Work Schedule: Monday - Friday Work Type: Full Time, Exempt Position Responsibilities
Lead project meetings and ensure alignment across all project phases. Monitor progress against key milestones, resolve challenges, and maintain accountability across stakeholders. Develop and manage complex project plans integrating multiple scopes, timelines, and resource needs. Ensure thorough, timely documentation. Implement and optimize project management tools to streamline workflows and enhance visibility. Manage budgets, procurement activities, and financial performance. Conduct detailed cost analyses, identify financial risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Review and approve cost change orders with justified financial impact. Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to contract terms. Resolve subcontractor disputes professionally. Lead final project closeout activities and client satisfaction. Oversee project warranty processes and respond to post-construction concerns. Champion a culture of safety by enforcing safety plans and attending required trainings. Guide the project team to meet and exceed expectations through clear goals and continuous feedback. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred 6+ years of industrial construction experience with progression toward project management OSHA 10 certification preferred Strong knowledge of construction logistics, plan and shop drawing coordination, and scope management Proven ability to build partnerships and trust with internal/external partners Proven ability to deliver presentations and negotiate with clients and subcontractors Track record of accuracy and quality in complex project documentation Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects Understanding of contractual, financial, schedule and risk mitigation elements of construction projects Experience in project estimation, budgeting, and pre-planning activities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Microsoft Project; experience with Bluebeam and Procore Physical & Environmental
