BIM Manager - Highways
(Bentley Focus) to join our team in
Orlando, FL, Atlanta, GA, and Austin, TX . This role is also open to other locations nationally.
The role of BIM Manager - Highways is dynamic, offering opportunities to shape and contribute to digital growth within the highways discipline. This regional role provides BIM support for complex, multidisciplinary highway projects, aiming for optimized delivery, enhanced quality, error reduction, and exceeding client expectations. You will advise and support teams on emerging technologies that can differentiate and streamline project delivery.
You will develop BIM Execution Plans, support project production and innovation, and collaborate with project teams. We seek individuals passionate about Information Management excellence in highway disciplines, demonstrating collaboration, empathy, patience, enthusiasm, resilience, and a willingness to teach. As a key resource, you will be visible and accessible across US offices, leading by example.
Familiarity with BIM/IM principles, documentation skills, adherence to standards, and technical proficiency in Bentley Civil products (preferred) such as OpenRoads Designer, OpenBridge Modeler, and others, as well as Autodesk products like Civil 3D, Infraworks, Navisworks, is expected. Knowledge of DOT workspaces, workspace configurations, and ProjectWise is a plus. You should be able to teach others confidently on project support.

How will you contribute to the team?
Support the Digital Design Director and regional highways group in implementing Design Transformation.
Engage with project teams to identify and challenge digital strategies.
Develop internal training and upskilling programs.
Develop asset information management strategies.
Champion ISO 19650 responsibilities.
Support project CAD/BIM managers and coordinators.
Support Global and National Design Transformation initiatives.
Establish project processes for BIM maturity.
Work with discipline leads to integrate BIM throughout project lifecycles.
Build networks with Design Leads, Engineers, BIM Managers, etc., to ensure BIM compliance.
Encourage use of 3D modeling tools for design review and decision-making.
Lead, develop, and coach team members, leaving a legacy of BIM talent.
Maintain engagement with projects, academia, and industry for excellence.
Some travel may be required.
Champion the implementation of ProjectWise Design Review (iTwin) for highway projects.
What will you contribute? We value diverse career paths. Candidates should demonstrate relevant skills and experience, typically including a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience (5+ years). The ideal candidate has 6-10 years of highway design experience, familiarity with DOT projects, and expertise in Bentley and Autodesk technologies. Proven success in implementing transformative processes in highway teams is desirable.
