Overview
Harco Fittings is seeking a Fabricator for our facility in Janesville, WI. This role reports to the Plant Manager. Hours are Monday–Friday, 5:30am–2:00pm. Starting wage is $21.71 per hour. Harco Fittings is a member of the IPEX group of companies. We are a producer of gasketed joint injection-molded PVC and push-on gasketed joint ductile fittings with locations across seven states. Responsibilities
Fabricate fittings to customer specifications using customized fabricating equipment, hand and power tools, adhesives, and fixtures. Obtain components from stock/production. Set up equipment to match product requirements. Work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively. Inspect completed parts. Prepare parts for shipping by placing them in boxes or on pallets and correctly labeling all parts and boxes. Visually inspect incoming pipes, components, and gaskets for defects. Apply 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles. Maintain a safe working environment by following Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and attending required training. Maintain a respectful working environment by following Human Resource Policies and attending mandatory training when required. Assist in coordination, preparation, and execution of year-end inventory. Complete and maintain reports for managers as required (e.g., Production reports, Scrap reports). Other duties may be assigned as applicable. Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred; full training will be provided. Basic math knowledge. Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-starter with good interpersonal and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn. Team player with a demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive team environment. Working knowledge of Health and Safety practices is helpful. After training, understanding of various types and sizes of pipes. Working Conditions
Manufacturing plant environment with good mobility; long periods of standing, bending, and heavy lifting (50–75 lbs). Use of hand tools including heat forming, pulling, belling, caps, reducers, saws, and gluing. Fast-paced environment requiring sustained attention. Benefits
