Midwest Solar Power is seeking a Residential Journeyman Electrician to join our solar electric team. We are a growing, locally owned company that has been installing solar electric systems in the Madison area since 2009. Read and interpret plans/permit sets to determine the layout of solar PV electrical and battery systems. Participate in job pre-planning, including applying for required electrical permits. Work cooperatively with team members to complete solar system installations. Ensure all installations comply with NEC standards and local regulations. Troubleshoot and diagnose system components to resolve electrical issues. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications
Possession of a valid Journeyman Electrician license. Working knowledge of current NEC codes. Working knowledge of residential electrical wiring and systems. Knowledge of solar PV systems and equipment. Ability to read and interpret solar PV system layout plans. Knowledge of building construction principles and practices. Ability to use power and hand tools; proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic tools. OSHA 10 or ability to complete within 1 month of hire. NABCEP PV Installation Professional or ability to complete within 1 year of hire. Able to see color to discern color-coded wiring. Capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. Able to work on roofs. Able to maintain a controlled lift of up to 70 pounds at a time. Pay
$34.20 - $46.30/hour Job type
